After returning home from attending the second of two outstanding Paul McCartney concerts at Wrigley Field in Chicago, I thought about all of the songs done by Paul that I had seen in the 26 times of attending his concerts. While trying to remember all of them, I started thinking about what songs I had not heard from him and would like to hear before he stops touring (God forbid!). Therefore, I have made up a starter list of songs that I would like to hear from Paul in the future. I have heard that he might be coming back to the U.S. this fall, so here are my song suggestions; maybe call it the “Bring Them Back, Bring Them Out” tour.
McCartney Songs
Only Love Remains
With a Little Luck
Too Much Rain
Vintage Clothes
Ever Present Past
The Sun is Shining
The Back Seat of My Car
Warm & Beautiful
Getting Closer
Take it Away
Tug of War
No More Lonely Nights
Run Devil Run
Young Boy
Beautiful Night
Don’t Stop Running
Beatle Songs
Another Girl
Rocky Racoon
Lovely Rita
For No One
When I’m 64
For No One
Eight Days A Week
She Loves You
This list is almost enough for a whole show, so it would leave enough space to fill in some McCartney staples, like Let it Be, Hey Jude, Blackbird, Yesterday, etc., while also keeping some newly performed songs like Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five, The Night Before, and Sing the Changes. I’d love to hear your preferences and with enough responses, I would post the results on this site.

Bill Harry, Founder of Mersey Beat magazine in England, offered his opinion of the upcoming book. “John’s book is a welcome addition to the ever-growing exploration of The Beatles and solo-Beatles universe. It’s also a look into the most important aspect of Paul McCartney’s life-his music. Paul is about music and he is without a doubt tinged with genius and greatness, so let’s voyage through a book which explores the world of his musical solo years and transport us into the journey he embarked on following the demise of the greatest group of them all.”
